New Street Reach Shelter.....

The need for volunteer help is over -- thanks to everyone who helped.

The Clothes Closet October 4th will mark the 4th anniversary for the operation of our First United
Methodist Church Clothes Closet staffed by dedicated church volunteers. This outreach ministry of our
church has assisted thousands of people who are homeless and or have fallen on hard times.
The clothes closet ministry does not sell any items that you, the congregation, have so generously and
graciously given. In the event that we have any surplus of clothes, we reach out to other agencies in the
community and elsewhere that also assist and share with the needy.

We appreciate your continued support of this ministry, and at this time, our specific needs are: schoolage
children’s jackets and shoes; men’s jeans and other work pants. t-shirts, polo shirts, jackets, athletic
shoes and work boots. Also, we are in need of towels, washcloths and personal hygiene items.
Thank you for your continued support and you may drop-off items anytime on Monday’s from 8:30 to
noon. For further information call 448-7655.

Thank you, Jean Clemmons
