With roots reaching back to 1915, this church is one of the largest and most active United Methodist congregations in South Carolina. Ever growing and changing, First Church is venturing forth in new ways of sharing the Good News of Jesus Christ both here and overseas. A church for all people.

Explore our website to find out more about how to get involved in First Church. We offer Sunday School for all ages, UMYF grades 6-12, choirs for adults and children, United Women in Faith (UWF), small groups, as well as many opportunities to serve.
Membership
Join First Church by profession of faith, transfer from another United Methodist congregation or another denomination. Please call the church office, 843-448-7164, to speak with the membership secretary who will set up a meeting with one of our ministers who will contact you to discuss your decision to join the church and to set a date and service time to welcome you into the First Church family.
